About The Stone House

This nostalgic lakefront property is situated on Lake Erie between Kingsville and Leamington, Ontario.

The Stone House was built in the late 1800’s and has stood the test of time. It is as solid as a rock (or stone) and we look forward to sharing it with you. The first phase of restoration is nearing completion and we are making plans to open the main floor in April 2019.

The rooms have been made into multi-purpose rooms to allow for the best use of the space and provide a venue for Classes, Facilitation, Private events and more. We have worked diligently to keep the timeless character of the home including the original wood floors.

Easy to find, and not far from some of the best restaurants in the towns of Kingsville and Leamington, you will turn off Seacliff Drive and begin to unwind as you begin sensing the tranquility of being on the lake.

The sunsets are beautiful and can be viewed from many areas inside the home. Our favourite is the Sun Room, which has windows on 3 sides and offers a fantastic view of everything the lake has to offer.

The large area, once the living room and dining room, has been transformed into an open space to be used for meetings, yoga, meditation and more. The space has a large window facing the lake with doors leading out to a patio. This room features a natural fireplace and outside entry directly from the front door with foyer.

What were originally the bedrooms, and still function as sleeping areas are also set up for wellness facilitation rooms for our core team of wellness practitioners. These multi-purpose rooms have been lovingly thought out to accommodate the needs of both day time and night time guests.

The home has two main floor bathrooms and we promise they will bring you back in time. Although the home was built before hydro and water were part of the home package, don’t be alarmed – there’s plenty of hot water and a lighting feature that took us by surprise. We will keep that secret until you arrive 😉

Although modest in size by today’s standard, the kitchen is fully functional and stocked with everything necessary for the hospitality of our guests. The kitchen has a view of the ‘back’ of the property as well as the lake.

Outside there is a Bunkie that we see as an art studio or possible accommodation for those who enjoy a lakeside camping- type experience.

Renovations on the lower level and upper loft have yet to begin but we look forward to that next phase of the project which will double the possibilities for use of the additional space.

The original floors throughout the main level have been stripped, sanded and refinished. We are happy with the way they turned out and enjoy seeing the wood grain especially in what we call the “big room”, once used as the living room and dining room.

The front foyer with closet door off lets light in through this window. We found a special treat with lighting here too. We will leave that for you to find as well. Old homes have some pretty unique features.

Relax and enjoy. Refresh and renew
